The effects of light on any subject but particularly nature, are a very important part of my painting work. The light shining through and onto foliage or a rough surface producing patterns and colour changes are what I look for. Equally the shapes made by bodies in the study of moving people and in portraiture slight changes which can define personality. the intention is to catch emotion!
