David - demonstration painting

A recent demonstration to the Casterbridge Arts in Poundbury. Nice group. David sat very still and the light to begin with was excellent. Painted using W&N Artisan water soluble oils (for the first time). Testing to be able to take them to Kalymnos with me in September. They are certainly easier to clean up without the toxic smell of turps etc. But, I found that they are sticky to work with and don't flow/mix quite so easy as normal oils. I had to add more of the special oil. Thinning with water made the colour too thin. However, the colours are as it says on this tube as the same basic ingredients are used as professional oil paint.
