Part of the process of painting a portrait of someone, especially if you haven't met before, is to sketch them using pencil, conte pastel, or ink. These may be produced over a few sittings. This enables me to find out the best position and colours to use for the full oil painting. However, several portraits displayed have been completed in one day as part of a demonstration or class.  You can commission drawings, paintings in oils or acrylics.  I will work from your photos but they have to be good quality and not just snap shots.
