Commissions are accepted for portraits, pets, scenes of significant memory and other subjects from your own photographs.

Portraits - Head and shoulders to full length.  Official Company portraits, family, children and pets. Sketches in pastel on paper to full-size oils or acrylics on stretched canvas. 

It is preferred to produce portraits direct from life and you may be required to attend a number of sittings which can take up to 2 hours each. These can take place at your home/office or my studio. A series of photographs will be taken and a decisions made in regard to clothing, back ground, size of canvas etc.,and sketches will be made and price agreed. A deposit of 25% is required at this stage.  

Podi does not normally paint from your photographs but it is understood that it is not always possible for sittings and consideration will be given to your photographs, which must be of professional quality in colour and a minimum of 12 x 8" (A4) each individual on photographic paper. If unsure, send a picture for a quote.

 

Sketches in pastel/conté -  single colour, are usually from a single sitting of up to 2 hours. Prices from £150.00. per person on single sheet of paper. Head and shoulders only.  Seated portraits to include the hands £260.00  per individual portrait.  

Small portrait studies (head and neck) in oils, acrylics or pastels require one sitting of 2 hours, plus at least one follow-up for 1 hour. Prices from: £300.00 per person.  

More complex paintings including background needing a larger canvas and painted in oils, acrylics or pastels will require 2 or 3 sittings of 2 hours each - prices start from £1500.00.per person.   Final price is dependent upon size, clothing detail and surrounding objects/background detail. Multiple portraits on a single canvas - price on application.

A series of good photographs giving exact colour of fur and eyes of each pet will be required. 

Podi prefers to take her own photos to ensure true likeness and character.

Drawings using graphite pencils or similar  16" x 12" : from £150

Watercolour, pastel or oils :  from £250

Landscape/seascape scenes can be produced with artistic licence from your own photographs.
